Privacy Policy

SAMPLES ("we", "us") is the music trivia game available at apps.samplesnips.com and in our mobile apps. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

Account info. If you create an account: your email address, a username, and a password (stored securely by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see your password).

Gameplay. Scores, streaks, accuracy, games played, and answers — used to run leaderboards, daily streaks, and your stats.

Purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your purchase and subscription status, never your card number.

Live events. Joining a live game requires only a display name. If you choose to share your email after a live game, we store it to send you SAMPLES updates; you can unsubscribe anytime.

Usage analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate usage (pages visited, device type). It does not use cookies to track you across sites.

Music playback

Song clips play through YouTube's embedded player. When a clip plays, YouTube (Google) may collect data under its own privacy policy, the same as when you watch any embedded YouTube video on the web.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal information. We don't show third-party ads. We don't access your contacts, location, camera, or microphone.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and its data anytime from Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing us.

Children

SAMPLES is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and note it in the app.
